What it's built for
Where the EFLRA fits
Continuous or hot-environment duty, fully liquid cooled
Water cooling gives the ½" lateral platform its highest continuous thermal capacity, holding the 14.7 to 23 kW rating through sustained cuts and in enclosed or hot parts of the machine where self- or servo-ventilation would derate. The benefit is duty, not extra power: it is EFL 20's rating, held longer.
Wet machining of hard-brittle materials
The contactless integrated rotating joint carries coolant to the tool without contact seals to service. Water cooling on the body and coolant through the tool are the setup porcelain, gres and sintered slab need to control heat at the cut and protect the edge.
Top of the ½" cooling ladder, same mount
14.7 to 23 kW on the lateral square-body mount shared with EFL and EFLS, so a head built for ½" lateral gains full water cooling without structural rework, and the same mount carries on to ISO 40, ISO 50 and automatic tool change.
Where a water circuit is not available, EFLS holds sustained duty on servo air and EFL runs lighter cuts self-ventilated, both on the same ½" mount. For ISO interface or automatic change, MACT, MACR and LCR share the lateral mount. Use the motor selector to compare.

Upgrade path
Same mount, more capability
All families in this path share the same mount geometry. Design the machine head for the highest capability you might ever need: start with the base family and upgrade without structural rework. Use the motor selector to compare families.
