What it's built for
Where the MBR fits
Spindle built for the robot mount
MBR carries water-cooled ISO tooling on the robot mount, for anthropomorphic and robotic heads where the spindle travels with the arm rather than sitting on a fixed axis.
Unmanned cells that have to sense for themselves
Vibration sensor and collision-detect (option) with 1Vpp encoder feedback give a robot cell the signals a missing operator used to provide, on a water-cooled body sized for continuous cutting.
Wet machining of hard materials through the tool
The rotating water joint feeds coolant through the bored shaft to the cut, the wet setup hard-brittle materials require, across 9 to 41 kW and BT-ISO 40 to ISO 50.
The same spindle range on a lateral mount is the MTB. Use the motor selector to compare mounts.
