What it's built for
Where the MECRS fits
Continuous-line finishing on hard-brittle slab
Servo-ventilation keeps cooling independent of spindle speed, so the motor holds full duty through the long, steady passes that surface and edge work on porcelain and gres demand, where a shaft-driven fan would lose cooling at the low speeds the finish is made at. Built for lines that run continuously, where the cost of a stoppage is highest.
Wet machining of porcelain, gres and sintered surfaces
The rotating water joint feeds coolant through the tool as standard, the wet setup these materials need to control heat at the cut. On thin, hard slab the edge is where the job is won or lost, and clean wet cutting is what protects it against chipping.
One platform, specified to the line
The same feet-mounted spindle spans ISO 40 through ISO 50 and 10 to 30 kW, with tool clamping by pneumatic (105) or hydraulic (125) system. Where the line calls for manual tool change, the MECTS is the same platform without the automatic changer.
Closed-loop feedback is available where the machine runs oriented or interpolated axes (1Vpp or high-resolution TTL encoder). For manual tool change on the same servo-ventilated platform, see MECTS. Use the motor selector to compare across the Surface and Edge range.
