What it's built for
Where the MTB fits
Water-cooled milling on the lateral mount
MTB brings continuous water-cooled ISO tooling to the lateral square-body mount, 11 to 41 kW, for machining centres running sustained cuts where air cooling would derate.
Wet machining of porcelain, gres and sintered
The rotating water joint carries coolant through the bored shaft to the cut, the wet configuration these hard-brittle materials need, with clean cutting to protect the edge.
Sensed, protected, feedback-ready
1Vpp encoder feedback as standard, with high-resolution TTL encoder, vibration sensor and collision-detect available, for interpolated axes and unattended running.
The same spindle range on a robot mount is the MBR; a long-nose lateral variant, MTBNL, extends reach and is coming. Use the motor selector to compare.
