Data you provide. By filling in the forms on this site (contact, datasheet request, newsletter subscription) you provide your name, email address, company and phone number where applicable, and the content of your request.

Browsing data. The systems running this site collect, as part of their normal operation, some technical data (IP addresses, access times, pages visited) whose transmission is implicit in Internet protocols. They are used in aggregate form only, for security and to keep the site working properly.

Cookies. See the dedicated section below.

Answering the requests submitted through the forms (contact, datasheets): the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR).

Sending the newsletter to subscribers: the legal basis is consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Complying with legal obligations and establishing or defending legal claims: the legal bases are, respectively, legal obligation (art. 6.1.c) and legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).

Providing data in the forms is optional, but without the fields marked as required we cannot follow up on your request. We carry out no profiling and no automated decision-making.

Data from requests is kept for as long as needed to handle them and, where a business relationship follows, for its duration and the terms required by law. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Browsing data is kept for the minimum technical time.

Data is processed by authorised VEM spa personnel and by the technical providers that keep the site and company email running (site hosting, email services), appointed as data processors under art. 28 GDPR. Data is never published nor sold to third parties for marketing purposes. Any transfer outside the European Economic Area only takes place with the safeguards set out in art. 44 ff. GDPR.

You can exercise at any time the rights set out in art. 15–22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent. Just write to vem@vem.it. If you believe the processing infringes the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (garanteprivacy.it).
